In June 2016, I had a chance to travel back to my home town – Hong Kong for a short period of time. It was always nice to go back there visiting my parents, families and friends.

One day, my wife and I walked pass the famous Victoria Harbour – because we have a few hours of free time before dining with friends nearby.

“You know what? I think I have never taken a picture of this famous view!”

Yes – it sounds ridiculous and unbelievable! But it was true! So I immediately decided to take a few.

Interestingly, as soon as I lift up my camera, a lady nearby walked up to us and ask us in mandarin if we want to join a harbour tour on a ship, thinking we are tourists. – maybe we are to some degree!

However due to the timing, we had to reject the chance being able to take photos in the middle of this awesome harbour.

This also got my started thinking: it is probably because local Hong Kong people do not take pictures like this, only tourists do!

In fact similarly, I don’t think I have ever taken any photos of Adelaide’s Rundle Mall for instance!

Doesn’t this mean that we usually tends to forget our beautiful surroundings?

Yes, we may all want to go to Europe, America, Japan due to their beautiful scenery or city (I am guilty of this too :P); but as I have mentioned before, EVERYTHING has its own beautiful side and we just need to spend time to find it – even if it might be just a tiny park next to your home!
